30 Years of Marine Interior Design Excellence

Times are a Changin'

It’s an interesting time to sort through “expert” opinions which, historically or shall I be cheeky here and say hysterically, both parties predict in sync; we’re in dire straits and doomed or that our cultures are changing and we need to change too. Remember Henny Penny? The reality here is that there is truth in both. I think it’s time to quit running in circles waiting for someone else to fix things. It is time as responsible individuals, to think about what we can do to help as individuals. It might be as simple as donating food or time at the food bank. We all agree that change is not easy and we all like easy but (and this is not an original thought) changes are necessary for evolutionary purposes – notwithstanding advancing communication, intellect and awareness.
As individuals, we can choose to concentrate or select those things of which we deal with on a daily basis. It’s what we know and choose to do. For example; my livelihood is centered on the marine industry so it generates my observations, thoughts, and actions most of the time. As an observer and business owner for 30 plus years, my business experience has been full of ups and downs. Some because I didn’t plan ahead and some were out of my control. It’s history. It’s life repeating itself. It’s a process or leveling action that comes across periodically to separate the wheat from the chaff no matter whose fault it is. What I see now are professional folks pulling together, re-energizing and re-structuring within the marine industry and we will emerge in a stronger, better business form and product. As for the naysayers … Good Lord! Right now, think how much of our planet is covered in water???? How best to travel the waters of the world??? Boats and ships of course. There is a responsible past, a current need and sensible future for the marine industry.

I look forward to our marine future; both during the hard times and the good. I’ll share experiences, thoughts, discuss quality of new products and new trends I see on the horizon. We need each other. It’s good fun.
