Project Work : Guestroom refit and refurbishment with Robinson Marine (NZ)
NZ’s Bodicea’s project team of Bell Design Group Inc (NZ), 37 South (NZ) and Robertson Marine (NZ) were selected and directed by the owner’s representative, John Smyth (UK) to complete the large and successful refit and refurbishment within weeks. The main challenge was to find a yard large enough to accommodate this vessel in Auckland and that existing engineering drawings didn’t reflect the actual vessel build. The yacht was cleared for the Naval facility and the drawings were soon corrected by Jolyon Yates, contracted by Bell Design to provide CAD work for this project. To expedite design matters the out of country, yacht owner was air freighted and emailed Bell Design Group 3-D colored, design concepts, story boards and product samples for approval. It was reported that when the owners came on board and viewed the completed project, they said it was exactly what they wanted and were extremely pleased.
