Project work : Refit concepts, design and finishes for corporate owner
Bell Design was contracted to design this major refit to be completed on Lake Union, Seattle, WA. The vessel was in major disrepair and actually sunk at the dock during our phase one of concept and finish presentations. I was out of town working at a production boat yard when my office called with the news. The completely sunken vessel complete with floating debris was an overhead photo on the first page of the local news. It is our understanding the vessel was raised, dried out and completed to be sold by the owners. Not one of our best design experiences but a valuable lesson in qualifying clients.
