The iconic Texas-born Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas brings hospitality and vintage movie-going experience to boutique theaters. This first Los Angeles location—brought to a revitalized downtown mall—was designed in conjunction with Weiss Architecture, and pays homage to the “exploitation” films that dominated the 60s and 70s.

With a vibrant lobby bar, full restaurant kitchen, and 13 state-of-the-art screening rooms, the split-level facility was a hit from opening day. BDG worked collaboratively with Alamo, providing expertise in existing building renovations, film, acoustics, and service to bring the experience to life.
