Born in Belgium, Ruben has built a distinguished career in architecture spanning over 20 years. Ruben’s portfolio spans large mixed-use developments in East Asia, which integrate commercial, residential, and cultural spaces, as well as museums, residential homes, and studio campuses in the West and Europe. Ruben has designed and managed over 46 million square feet of built space around the world.

A driven architect, Ruben brings exceptional managerial experience. He leads teams across all typologies and has deep expertise in coordinating design and construction teams with a focus on functionality, efficiency, and constructability. Ruben excels at seeing simple, effective solutions to complex challenges, while approaching each project with an emphasis on creating memorable experiences.

Currently serving as Project Director, Ruben continues to lead innovative architectural initiatives at both the project scale and the company’s operations. He brings a bevy of building construction techniques, BIM mastery, engineering coordination and architectural standards to BDG, where he sets the course for the project management and quality control efforts of the firm. Ruben’s leadership quietly yet formidably guides every team, every project, and every opportunity.
