Anchor Hitch is a new-concept seafood restaurant that combines an oyster bar with Asian-infused tapas. Inspired by the chef-driven creations and bold collaborations with Los Angeles mural artists David Flores and Paul Nguyen, BDG designed a custom dining experience to bring underwater oyster farms to life. A parametrically designed partition wall — made of over 1,100 uniquely cut pipes creating a wave-like pattern — spans floor to ceiling, setting the tone as patrons enter.
.
Bell Design Group BDG created an abstracted underwater urban fantasy through custom design of every element in the restaurant space. A moiré pattern of pipe sections emulates bubbles rising from the ocean, custom oyster cage pendant lights hang overhead, custom industrial furniture, and graffiti street art punctuates the space—an eclectic mix that brings an edge to Orange County fine dining. At the classic Carrera marble bar, a full-height kitchen window reveals the shucking of the oysters and preparation of seafood delicacies.
