Hal’s Bar & Grill has been an icon of Venice culture and art for over three decades. Curating an eclectic collection of local artists to adorn the walls is as important to this institution as its California cuisine. When moving the restaurant to its new home, BDG ensured that the dedication to art remained front and center. This was achieved in part through the custom design of a combined chandelier/wine rack above the back bar. Using parametric design technology and hands-on fabrication, this steel light fixture curves in two directions—part function, part art.
